Lila Hurwitz is Principal Consultant at Doolittle+Bird, offering strategy, management, communications, production, and fundraising for artists and others. Favorite dance clients include Bebe Miller Company, Morgan Thorson, Rosy Simas Danse, Jeremy Nelson and Luis Lara Malvacías, and K.J. Holmes. Originally from NJ, she danced in NYC in the early 1990s before heading west for 30 years. She’s now back east, based in Rhode Island. From 1993–2016 she worked in Seattle as Associate Director and Director of Communications at Artist Trust; Administrative/Co-Artistic Director of Dance Art Group, producers of the Seattle Festival of Dance Improvisation from 1994–2011; and designer of Contact Quarterly magazine for 11 years. As a dancer, she’s worked with Nina Martin, Lucia Neare, Karen Nelson, Lisa Nelson, Stephanie Skura, Crispin Spaeth, and others.
