Lindy Fines is the choreographer and artistic director of GREYZONE, a dance project that she formed with designer Justin Fines in 2011. The company is an outlet for new collaborations between dance and mixed media including video, art installation, music and print.
GREYZONE has performed at The Flea Theater, Dixon Place, Triskelion Arts, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Green Space, The Secret Theater, The Cool NY Festival and Dumbo Dance Festival. The company premiered “Vehicle” in October 2012 to a sold-out audience at Mike Perry’s “Wandering Around Wondering” art space in Brooklyn. The work involved an exciting visual collaboration including set and costumes with illustrator Mike Perry. GREYZONE were artist’s in residence at the Dragon’s Egg in Mystic, CT in March and September of 2013. ‘Even As I Tell You This’, an evening length work, premiered at the Irondale Center in Fort Greene, Brooklyn as part of FLICfest 2014. GREYZONE released a short film ‘Queens Duets’ shot in Queens, New York in 2015.
