Florentina Holzinger studied architecture in Vienna, Austria. She trained in dance and performance in Vienna and worked with the theater company, Kopergieterey, in Ghent, Belgium before she moved to Amsterdam to study choreography at the School for New Dance Development (SNDO) at the Amsterdamse Hoge school voor de Kunsten. She received education in composition, dance and choreography with Deborah Hay, Robert Steijn, La Ribot, Benoit Lachambre amongst others and received the Dance web Europe Scholarship in 2008 and 2010 at Impulstanz Vienna. She has been working as a performer for artists like Deborah Hay, Rob List, Ann Liv Young and currently Jeremy Wade. Her work has been produced by the Kc Nona, in Mechelen, Belgium and she received residencies at Impulstanz Vienna, Frascati Amsterdam and Workspace Brussels. She presents her work in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Austria. Her latest work Kein Applaus fuer Scheisse is currently touring international venues in Amsterdam, Brussels, Genth, Vienna, Utrecht, Berlin and Oostende and is presented at performance festivals around Europe.
