LiftOff turns 10 for our end of year campaign!

As I write this, the world is experiencing unrest and tumult. It can be difficult to make sense of it all. At New Dance Alliance (NDA) we firmly believe in the power of the arts to express beliefs, share impactful stories, and reaffirm healing during challenging times.

There is also cause for celebration as LiftOff turns TEN! Ten years of supporting artists with rehearsal space for 36 hours within a 3-month fall or spring residency period and a $500 stipend. Ten years of giving artists opportunities to rehearse affordably. Ten years of supporting artists with space to create.

I’m also thrilled to announce that Performance Mix Festival: 38 will take place June 6-9, 2024 at Abrons Arts Center in downtown NYC! Through increased funding from the NEA we are continuing this ongoing performance series which features over 25 artists in a four day period. We’ll be presenting the Audree Juteau/L’Annexe A company with support from the Quebec Government Office in New York and Consulate Canada to the United States while also featuring some of our residency artists whose projects will culminate as part of the festival.

As we embark on the close of the calendar year, New Dance Alliance is doubling our efforts and devising new ways to engage artists more fully throughout the year. Between our Black Artist Space to Create and LiftOff residencies and Satellite rehearsal space programs, we’re looking to build more continuity between and among our signature programs. Now is the time to invest in NDA which passionately supports a diverse set of artists navigating today’s challenging world. Making a donation to NDA at this time marks our previous success while allowing us to dig deeper into meaningful residency and performance opportunities.

All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Please mail a check payable to New Dance Alliance, or contribute via PayPal using this link: (, or through Venmo @New-Dance-1 with “donation” in the subject.

Thank you for your helping us celebrate LiftOff with your consideration and continued support.

Best wishes!
