Yamanaka is a dancer and choreographer from Tokyo, Japan. In 2008, after completing her high school education, Yamanaka came to New York to study modern, contemporary dance. She has been working for Jennifer Archibald, Saul Ulerio, Jenni Hong, White Wave Dance Company and among others. Her choreographic work had been presented at Fresh Tracks, New Steps, 2010 & 2013, Cool NY, 2012 & 2013 and more in NYC. Yamanaka was a residency artist of Dance Theater Workshop (now New York Live Arts) Fresh Tracks in 2010-2011.
