June 7-10, 2018


New Dance Alliance is pleased to announce the lineup for the 32nd annual Performance Mix Festival. “The most elaborate festival of the unpredictable” (The New York Times), the 2018 festival brings together more than 30 artists with diverse approaches to performance, inviting audiences to engage with the unexpected and to experience some of the newest voices in experimental dance. This year’s festival also includes Performance Mix’s annual community breakfast, a free movement workshop, and other special events. The festival runs June 7?10, 2018, at The Performance Project at University Settlement. Performance Mix is curated by New Dance Alliance Founder and Director Karen Bernard.

Showgirls residency at BkSD

We are excited to announce that this past week we completed the load-in for our residency this spring at Brooklyn Studios for Dance. Check out the video below for more on this incredible organization that has carved out an entire community from a previously unused gymnasium in Fort Greene.
The Showgirls project, led by Karen Bernard in collaboration with dramaturg Andi Stover includes:
- A special series of LiftOff Creative and Project Development Workshop, to be held at BkSD April 18-20
- Performances at BkSD May 17-19

Sunday Brunch Fundraiser at New Dance Alliance

The afternoon will feature a delicious brunch prepared by Chef Karen, a silent auction, and Sabor a mi—a unique collaborative performance channeling cultural identity with dancer Lisa Parra and DJ artist Roseli Rocha from the LA-based Chulita Vinyl Club.
