This holiday season, we want to celebrate our steadfast and inspiring arts community.
Dear Friend of NDA,
As the holiday season is in full swing, we wish to reflect on the joys and challenges brought by this year. We saw a wonderful year of programming and community engagement, most notably with a jam-packed celebration at the 39th annual Performance Mix Festival in June! NDA was also able to continue our Satellite space grant Program, LiftOff Residencies, BASC (Black Artists Space to Create) and WORKSession.
NDA thanks you for your support, in any capacity, of our unwavering commitment to creating career development opportunities for artists and diversity in the arts. In these times, when funding for the arts becomes increasingly at risk, we need our communities to be as resilient as ever. As we enter our 40th year of Performance Mix Festival programming, your support is as vital as ever before.
Join us in supporting NYC performance artists by making a contribution today!
After 4 decades of devotion to the performance arts community in NYC and beyond, New Dance Alliance hopes to continue providing programming and opportunities for performance artists to develop their voices and craft. Your gift will go towards funding our residencies, space grants, annual Performance Mix Festivals, and more.
With gratitude, Karen Bernard & NDA staff

A special thank you…
New Dance Alliance is proud to announce that we’ve received funding from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA). NDA was awarded $69,500 to fuel our programming for 2026.
We are accepting rolling applications for our Satellite Program!
Satellite provides donation-based rehearsal space at NDA’s Studio in Tribeca. Satellite artists must book a minimum of 8 hours from November to January and February to April. Additional hours as available.
This program operates on a donation-based payment system, suggested $5 per hour. Donations can be made by NDA’s Venmo @New-Dance-1 with the subject: Satellite.
Satellite rehearsal space is available upon request, on a first-come, first-serve, rolling basis. Please fill out this interest form, and we will contact you pending studio availability.
“Thank you thank you and thank you to everyone who made this residency (Black Artist Space to Create) possible. These past two weeks have been a blessing! Not only have I been able to deepen my own personal/artistic practices, I was given the space to connect with people that I love! I was given space to reflect on love, and to prepare for what this next year (2021) will bring! Shout out to New Dance Alliance, Modern Accord Depot and Angie Pittman for the time, the space, and opportunity! I am forever grateful! It felt like a good meal, with dessert!”
