Help us meet our $10,000 goal by June 15 & get awesome perks when you do so!

New Dance Alliance is looking for your support to continue promoting and providing resources to experimental performance artists.
We believe:
- All voices need to be heard—the alternative and the new, those pushing boundaries and defining fresh genres and those who have made a difference historically.
- Art allows us to see things in new contexts.
- Experimentation and collaboration support greater understanding.
- A single voice can provide inspiration for others.

Your donation goes directly to support our programs:
- Performance Mix Festival
Now in its 32nd year, Performance Mix Festival stands alone among the many New York festivals in its commitment to: 1) offering artists comprehensive career and artistic development support; 2) presenting risk-taking art by emerging and established artists at a critical experimental phase of their development; and 3) providing programming for audiences interested in the creative process of experimental dance and performance.
- LiftOff Creative and Project Development Workshop and Residency Program
LiftOff, facilitated by Karen Bernard, Artist and Director of New Dance Alliance, with invited guests from the “industry”, offers residencies and small-group workshops in which performing artists develop the creative and business aspects of their work.
- Subsidized Rehearsal Space
NDA’s private loft space in the heart of Tribeca holds 40 years of inspiration. The space is 23 feet x 30 feet with 10.5 foot ceilings, linseed oil finished sprung-wood floor, mirrors, curtain covers for mirrors, low-flying trapeze point, natural light, wifi, audio, and two big windows.
- Karen Bernard / Creator and Performer
Since the 1980s, Karen Bernard has shown her unique perspective on the importance of women’s voices through the creation and production of original works that focus on female identity and empowerment, exploring topics such as age, gender, and motherhood.
