Karen Bernard’s 1993-1996: It Could Have Been Different is comprised of excerpts from four seminal works Bernard created between 1993 and 1996. This work features original costumes by Liz Prince, sound scores by Wendy Chambers, and popular music deconstructed by Brooks Williams. Soaking WET is a series of choreographic evenings curated by David Parker, whose company, David Parker and The Bang Group has been the first and only resident-dance company of the West End Theater since January 2003. Parker is committed to bringing together artists of varied backgrounds and levels of experience in order to break down aesthetic barriers and achieve mutual inspiration. Three invited guest artists spaced out during the workshop (TBA). Past invitees have included Vicky Shick, Yvonne Meier, Craig Peterson, Kathy Kaufmann, Merideth Boggia, Mathew Lyons, and Brian Rogers.
Cost of LiftOff is $250 and each participating artist receives 20 hours of discounted rehearsals space at $5 per hour.
Artists must have produced two works.
