binbinFactory is an interdisciplinary company working across dance, performance, and visual art, directed by Satoshi Haga and co-directed by Rie Fukuzawa. Based in New York, the company presents performances in Japan and across Europe, creating works that explore storytelling through the body. Movement is integrated with objects, handcrafted materials, and visual elements to form immersive stage environments.
Drawing from influences such as mime, Tai Chi, Balinese dance, Japanese traditional and contemporary theater, and Western contemporary dance, binbinFactory develops a physical language that moves fluidly across cultures and disciplines. Their work reflects on memory, time, and the evolving relationship between humans and their environment.
Through performances in New York, Japan, and Europe, binbinFactory invites audiences into spaces of quiet observation and shared reflection, where movement and visual form coexist beyond words.
binbinFactory challenges itself to explore imaginary stories through movement, with or without props, creating a fancy and playful world of dance.
“Performance Mix is such a great resource, and I was really grateful to be supported in presenting two of my works this year! I think the real multiplicity of artists involved in all senses is a continued strength of the program.”
