Lay them all down (installation)
Canadian choreographer and performer Dana Michel and multidisciplinary artist Tracy Maurice’s film, Lay them all down, will be presented as an installation. The film, which premiered at the 11th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art (September-November 2020), features “Michel moving through physical frustration with humor and candor, while Maurice drives the camera over the floor, amplifying all sounds, using her body as a tripod that advances and collapses.” (Amelia Bande for Berlin Biennial 2020)
This current global situation is immensely sad and challenging, including the necessary cancellations/ postponements/ restructuring of opportunities, but we are so grateful for how you and the Performance Mix #34: Remotely Yours team has honored all of the artists involved – artistically, financially, and emotionally. In these uncertain, confusing times, we feel taken care of & clearly communicated with. Thank you.
