Jade Manns is a Canadian dance artist based in New York. Professionally Jade has worked with artists such as Korakrit Arunanondchai, Boychild, Sharleen Chidiac, Iskw?, David Norsworthy, Jody Oberfelder, Tsuneko Taniuchi, Erik Thurmond, Elena Vazintaris, Alexa West and Phoebe Berglund among others. Jade is an alumna of the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance and holds a BFA in dance from NYU Tisch. She runs a DIY space in Ridgewood, Queens with her housemates.
This work uses gesture and repetition to create shifting environments. It displays an obsession with symbol, interpersonal dynamics, psychological landscapes and ambiguous meaning making.
