Haik Dreams: ‘Haik’ is a large white wrap worn by women in Morocco. “A gaggle of vibrant crones discuss the ironies of death.”

Alice Klugherz‘s talk/move docu-whimsey work has been part of the downtown dance and performance scene since the 80’s. Alice has performed her work as part of PS 122’s Avant-Garde-Arama, Dance Theatre Workshop’s FRESH TRACKS, LaMama Club, Wet and other NYC venues. She has also appeared in the work of others, most notably in Mark Dendy’s NEWYORKnewyork@Astor Place at Joe’s Pub. Her trio “Haik Dreams” was commissioned for a visual/sound installation by Paula Jeanine Bennett in Red Hook’s Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition. Alice is a regular reader at Cornelia St Cafe, Big Irv’s and Stacy’s Salon. She also writes theatre and dance reviews for Front Row Center.
