After ten years of international travel and dance exploration, in May 2017 Hanna founded the Vermont Dance Alliance (vermontdance.org)! Hanna now serves as the Executive Director, both managing a statewide network of dance artists, partners and patrons, as well as producing and curating high-quality dance events and opportunities for the public. Hanna is as passionate for the form of dance as she is in connecting people to it.
The Vermont Dance Alliance is a public platform for dance in Vermont. We shine a light on what is happening with dance throughout the state, as well as make new opportunities come to life. We use dance to provide a common language, encourage freedom of expression and empowerment, and build and create communities that share and learn together.

SEASONAL DANCE POEMS
(this was what was originally accepted into the festival)
This film project allowed me to create site specific choreography, with both the landscape as a key collaborator, as well as 13 dancers, storytellers, musicians and film artists that were equally excited about the art form of dance film in site specific locations. My main objective was to create a feeling of each season, to compose a poetic composition versus a narrative one.
The project was made possible from a Vermont Arts Council/National Endowment for the Arts Creation Grant, a Goddard College Alumni Arts Grant, a Montpelier Community Fund Arts Grant and a New England Foundation For the Arts/New England Dance Fund Grant.
The following 4 photos are of ANIMAL by Hanna Satterlee, a two year multi-disciplinary dance based project that was performed in 15 iterations for various Vermont locations and audiences. From 2013-2015.
