We are thrilled to announce the 2022 Black Artists Space to Create artists curated by the NDA BASC Committee:

Ama Ma’at Gora, Kayla Hamilton, and Nile Harris will each receive a one-week residency at Modern Accord Depot in Accord, NY, unlimited rehearsal space at the NDA studio, and a stipend of $2,000. “We wish to radically reimagine what it means to serve Black artists and to do so in the specific spirit of reparations,” (Board Chair, Fernando Maneca quoted in The New York Times). Your support is critical at this moment to help this essential residency program thrive and be sustainable into the future. Read more

This fall, The LiftOff Residency Program continues to thrive by providing three new artists, Nicholas Alselmo, Mia Martelli, and x with 36 hours of complimentary studio space and feedback on their developing work. Read more

In June we celebrated the 35th Anniversary of our annual Performance Mix Festival, “The most elaborate festival of the unpredictable,” The New York Times. Twenty-one artists performed in person for live audiences in the outdoor courtyard at 122 Community Center, in partnership with Movement Research along with video, live-stream, and installations.
