This Giving Tuesday, help New Dance Alliance grow the programs that help artists grow. For 30 years we’ve been nurturing hundreds of artists through:

1. Performance Mix Festival

our celebrated festival offering fully produced performance opportunities to emerging and established artists across disciplines

2. Subsidized Rehearsal Space

supporting creative process with affordable workspace amidst a shrinking market

3. LiftOff Creative and Project Development Workshop and Residency Program

offering a mix of creative and business support for emerging and mid-career artists through workshops, consultations and a generous residency

4. Karen Bernard/Solo

Karen Bernard’s uncompromising body of solo work continues to challenge expectations of what women artists can be and do on stage. Her formidable presence and committed vision has inspired new generations of creators for over three decades.

Archive List

Archive of my work

I have three weeks to go before my residency ends in Venice through the Emily Harvey Foundation. My project is to look at digitized videos of my work going back to the 80’s. I have connected with people involved in the works by sending them edited footage. I am also being my own critic. 20160611_185430We couldn’t have done it without you:

Without you – artists, curators, audience members, NDA Board of Directors, Advisory Board, Artist Advisory Committee, production team, interns, volunteers, staff at Abrons Arts Center, funders, individual contributors and in-kind donors – such a successful festival would not have been possible.

It was a great six days of eclectic performance and other events, and the press agrees! Read Culturebot’s response to Three Genres of Improvisation and see all of our press to date here. Read more
